JUNCTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT: LASG TO CLOSE OUTBOUND LANE OF OBA AKRAN

As a follow up to the Junction Improvement Works ongoing at Awolowo Way/Kodesho/Oba Akran Road, through the Underpass (by Computer Village) in Ikeja area of the State, the Lagos State Government will close the outbound lane of Oba Akran inbound Simbiat Abiola Way from vehicular movement by 6:00 am on Saturday, 18th to 6:00 am on Sunday, 19th September, 2021.

A statement signed by the Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, explained that the shutdown will allow the contractor to carry out a major demolition on the section of the road.

The Commissioner, therefore, advised motorists on the outbound Oba Akran and Awolowo Way to link Abeokuta Street and connect Oshifila to connect Akinremi and access Simbiat Abiola Way to reach their desired destinations, adding that the Ikeja Flyover Bridge will also be open to motorists to utilise alternately during the demolition.

While informing that the closure was slated for the weekend to minimise inconveniences to road users, Oladeinde urged motorists to cooperate with the State Government by adhering to all the directives of the State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) officers and the traffic advisory provided.
